Confirmed by RTE.
Nice little dig from Davy there.
Limerick levels of implosion from Clare
Has been known for some weeks.
He has never really nailed down a starting place and I wouldnât blame him to be somewhat pissed off and feel that he didnât get a fair crack at it, he scored a couple of points the first day agaisnt Wexford off limited possession yet didnât see any gametime in the replay.
But in saying that I think his lack of real pace always meant he was going to struggle to nail down a place on the starting team. A fine player with ball in hand but just not able to consistently get out in front of his man. Seemed to be a lad who got better with every game he didnât play in. If OâDonnell and Cunningham both avoid injury in 2015 I doubt Cathal would have seen much gametime ahead of either if he remained on the panel
He is a very good footballer and will be a good addition to that panel.
The league semi final against Tipp this year summed him up for me, got a 1-1 off the two balls he got in his hand that day but was well beaten to at least half a dozen balls played into him by his marker and subbed at half time
The too much too soon theory i said is looking likely now, even with a full panel and all the skill and talent the hunger is gone or going fast already.Clare players have their AI medals already and unlike KK who are just bred to keep winning them the Clare players to me seem to have got the ultimate prize already and are in bonus territory already at senior which will cost them against teams like Lmk or wexford like this year, they still havent won the big one and will have that fight to the death hunger in their corner which in a tight game counts for so much.
Bollox, they are just sick of their shit of davy.

Mike Deegan not being able to spell âforâ and then bringing up drugs suggests Davy was 100% right to give him the boot.
This ship is sinking
Christ, statements from selectors/coaches/water carriers on their departures from an inter-county team is a bit OTT. It will be lauded as âtypical of the professionalism in the squadâ, no doubt.
To be honest, I think it has been regarded as clumsy and indicative of panic by the majority of people. Should have been done through media interviews if they were going to do it at all. Tweeting pictures of word documents is ridiculous on just about every level.
Youâll have to change your Roaster name to Bad Looser. Name me a Clareman thatâs done more for the banner you cunt. Iâm no fan of Davyâs but itâs a bit much when ye cunts have a bit of controversy and straightaway blame the man.
Ger Loughnane
Clonlara 0-06 Crusheen 0-06 at half time. Paddy Vaughan red carded for Crusheen.
Feakle won the intermediate final earlier beating Parteen 4-10 to 2-12.
Whitegate and Doora-Barefield to play off in a relegation final having relegated Broadford and Wolf Tones earlier.
Crusheen won 0-10 to 0-08.
We donât lose tight matches
Crusheen had 14 men for second half , unbelievable win for the blood and bandage
Amazing win for Crusheen. Theyâre some club. How did they keep Clonlara to two points over 35 minutes.
Because Clonlara are a shower of windy cunts perhaps?!
How many go down out of Senior in Clare? Just the one is it?
