Yes, a pretty unexpected development. Apparently he will coach the team.
It will be entertaining whatever happens
Mental health is the real winner
He is an excellent coach. Winning that P2 Minor this year was a serious achievement, they were a distinctly average team a few years ago at 14/15. He has done good work with teams all over the place.
People can only see Donal Og and not his ability.

Aenghus O’Brien is also joining the set up. Two fairly significant coups, will be interesting to see how much control Davy is willing to give up to these two. Both very good, progressive coaches who if utilised correctly will be serious additions.
I’d noticed myself that Cusack made fairly strong defences of Fitzgerald at several stages on a The Sunday Game over the past 2 years.

One would assume donal og at least has talked this out with Davy.
Where is AOB from?
A large part of any coach is personality and interpersonal skills. Empathy, knowing how to handle different players differently etc etc
You now have two very strong personalities there who have never been wrong in their entire lives.
