Is Shane Dooley a teacher?

No

@Big_Dan_Campbell are Wolfe Tones any use at intermediate?

Yes

Can you expand please. Have they anyone Iā€™d know?

They are playing KIlmoyley in a fortnight who are well up for it and will have had a four week break by the time the match comes around.

They have a strong spine of lads who would have played for Clare in the last decade like Declan Oā€™Rourke, Daithi Oā€™Connell and Barry Loughnane . Added to that they would have Aaron Cunningham and his younger brother Jack who was midfield for the Clare minors this year. Their full forward Aaron Shanagher was the main forward for the Clare minors the last two seasons and is very strong in the air and has been called up to the Clare senior panel for 2016, as has Ben Oā€™Gorman who was wing back for the Clare 21s this year and is a very good hurler also.

Brian and Gary Oā€™Connell, both former I/C hurlers were only subs at the weekend. Donā€™t know if that has been the way all year or whether they have been injured

Informative. Seems a strong team for intermediate.

Clare was restructured last year, 5 senior teams went down, one came up to reduce the number of senior teams from 20 to 16. They are relatively young side, most players either under 22 or over 28 as they had a few barron years at underage a decade or so ago and while they have a strong spine they are probably more suited to summer than winter hurling. An average enough Smith Oā€™Briens brought them to a replay in the semi final and supposedly should have beaten them the first day but they beat Doora/Barefieldā€™s first team by 20 odd points in the first round of the championship

Informative. Should be a good game.

Is it on in Clare or Kerry? Who is training Kilmoyley this year?

I see that the NAP v Sixmilebridge game will be on in the 'Bridge

Clare.

Meyler is training them this year, seems to be a great man manager and really knows how to get Kilmoyley ticking (he won 4 in a row with them previously). Have a strong spine but seem to be greater than the sum of their parts. A few fairly old lads, a lot of young lads and only three I think in the prime 23-30 category (lost that whole generation to Oz). Blew away a fancied Ardfert team in the final with a fantastic display.

I said that on Sunday

Podge Collins is expected to be part of both the senior hurling and football panel next year. Rumours doing the rounds that Kinnerk may well return, but I would be surprised to see that.

Would be two fairly massive row backs by the manager

Delighted to see Podge Collins back playing intercounty hurling.

How is his rehab going, when is he due back to full training? Committing to two codes when coming back from an ACL is serious commitment, youā€™d wonder.

How would Kinnerk coming back be a row back by the manager, pal?

Was there more to his travel year than was revealed at the time?

His father should be fair to him and tell him to give the football a break.

Precisely. You could just tell him heā€™s shit and drop him. Tough love.

Yes,

Kinnerk and Davy had a disagreement in 2014 over the teams preparation and Davy pretty much tore up the training plan laid out by Kinnerk in April that year when Kinnerk was unavailable for a couple of weeks as he was in Asia for something or other around Easter. While Kinnerk did go travelling for a few weeks this summer he could easily have been kept involved.
