I donāt think who is in the Clare dressing room is something thatās ever going to have to bother you Tassotti.
The Pr chap has really done an excellent job, even before yesterday as much as it pains to say it. Hopefully some of it is for the best. I see that they even released a full list of the panel for 2016 which I canāt ever recall happening in Clare Gaa before
Put your money on Clare now.
What has happened to Cratloe this year? They looked like a super club outfit when winning it out last year and i remember seeing them against Kilmallock in Munster and Kilmallock were charmed enough to beat them. Cratloe kept going for the juggular when if they had been putting over points theyād have won. They were a very slick looking side.
Podgeās injury for a start, then trying to keep going in both codes with a fairly shallow panel, esp in the hurling (they have a host of isolated players with them in the football). Even last year they were using the same 17 or 18 players all through Munster. They werenāt far off the Bridge this year despite Conor McGrath getting sent off five minutes into that game.
Went to watch this at the weekend. Hard to read much into it as Kilmoyley had no interest the cunts, wish theyād told me.
Tones seemed a well organised & functional, if unspectacular, team. In fairness they were never under pressure so could have plenty more in the tank.
With cut backs in clare and now Cusack being involved the clare lads will be sharing the ice baths next year.
Read above mate, Davy has said theyāve cut down the panel on previous years. Iād suspect Clare are just fine financially.
And sharing ice baths is common enough.
Kieran Shannon has a good piece on the move today
Did ardfert have some crazy record of not having lost a game hurling or football for 8 minths or something?
Awful pity Cork didnāt have the balls for Myler (as in make him manager)
They won the Intermediate Club Football All Ireland & Senior Hurling Kerry last year and got to the final again this year so they could easily have.
Thereās nothing fancy about Meyler training wise, but he seems to be a good man manager, which is most of the role at inter-county. Heād be far too outspoken for Cork Iād imagine.
Oh ya, thats the issue. Frank would have heart failure. However he is exactly what the headphone bopping cunts need.
Good training always is simple.
Very true, nothing worse than a fella explaining ridiculous drills for the night.
And all this after @Big_Dan_Campbell gave you the full lowdown on his own countyās representatives so you could run back and feed the information to Kilmoyley. Fuck you both, you treacherous bastards.
The one thing you would hope that Og Cusack being involved as a selector is that he will bring a fresh perspective and some players who have been on the fringes may well get a chance to impress while others who have nailed on starers when fit regardless of form and are favourites of Davyās may well not be as much as automatic selections but it is hard to know.
The likes of Bugler, Colin Ryan, Honan and a few others pretty much start when fit regardless of form and none of them are that integral to how we play. All are worth their places when playing well but they shouldnāt be automatic selections. Pat Donnellan despite being dropped for the second Wexford game in 2014 and the Cork match last year is another who the manager is very loyal to and he should have been dropped long before both games. Players like Shane Golden and David Reidy are two others who Davy gave loads of chances to with varying results while the likes of Cathal OāConnell were given the odd opportunity and the likes of Cathal Malone & Daire Keane were given none despite the fact we are crying out for ball winners in the half forward line and there is little to suggest that Golden and Reidy are far superior players to the other three.
Dont think theres going to be any inbetween with this one. It will either be a spectacular success or Davy will be heading back to Lisdoonvarna next year
oh yea
O yea what Joe? Do you reckon Donal og is yere new messiah
We are not going to be far off.
