Obviously, you do given that you keep posting rƔimƩis about it.

Iā€™ve already explained that the final will be in the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday night next, if Limerick avoid defeat tomorrow. Thereā€™ll be no coin toss. Itā€™s already agreed between the two counties.

Now, fuck off, you fucking fool.

A fierce amount of Limerick lads wearing tracksuit bottoms in the warm up. Would be disappointed if we canā€™t beat them now

Its January a good run out is what we want fuck who wins

FUCK TAT WE WANT LIAM :smiling_imp:

Heartening enough performance last night. While Limerick will argue that if they had a decent free taker they would have won it we hit at least half a dozen terrible wides second half which balanced it out. We gifted Limerick plenty of scoring chances with poor hand passes in defence but I thought we were the better side by 4 or 5 points on the balance of play. There were some great scores taken and it was a decent contest for the end of January.

I would still have my reservations about Paul Flanagan especially when the ground quickens up, he just seems to be that half a yard slow in his hurling and speed of thought for I/C level. Jack Browne was Jack Browne, he has great defensive instincts and a mighty cut about him and was well suited to a game like last night but again I feel it is wing back or nowhere for him as he will struggle due to his lack of real pace at corner back. Pat Oā€™Connor finished well and had a very good last 20 minutes were as usual was coolness personified on the ball and continually played good ball out of defence, gifted Hannon a very easy score straight after half time though. Donā€™t know about him at full back but might be worth looking at at 2 or 4

Cian Dillon grafted hard but struggled when he had to mark Cian Lynch, he got on plenty of ball but I donā€™t think his striking is quick or good enough for the half backline and given that both DOD and Morey arenā€™t going to be involved in the league I would be shocked if he is seen outside of the full backline again this year. I assume he was wirthdrawn due to being on a yellow and having conceded a few frees. Bugler replaced him and looked a bit off the pace in his hurling.

David McInerney covered well but never looked like dominating at centre back. Good to see we were using his massive sideline cuts though. Conor Cleary I thought really put his hand up for selection, got the better the longer the game went on. Big and forceful, mightnā€™t be the most stylish in his hurling but I think his strength and aerial ability means that he should get a serious chance in the half backline over the league. Had a very assured first touch, better than I would have expected in him for January.

Thought Reidy did well as a linkman in midfield, but not well enough for the experiment to be continued. None of the four midfielders for me particularly stood out. James Ryan had more interest in niggling and acting the goat last night than hurling. Gudgie was on the periphery for the most part and thought he would have been the first replaced.

The forwards as a unit worked hard and made it tough for the Limerick backs. Good to see a bit of variation of the ball played into them. Plenty of switching and rotating between them too. Peter Duggan struggled initially with Seamus Hickey dominating in the first 15 minutes or so before he was moved inside, he did score a fine point before half time and he had a very encouraging second half where he scored two fine points and worked very hard, seemed to run out of steam a small bit late on. Colin Ryan had a solid game, especially in the first 15 minutes or so before we settled. David Fitz did his chances of further gametime no harm either, he is a fine sized lad for a chap of 19/20 and he tried to use the ball intelligently throughout with clever hand passes and flicks, a couple didnā€™t come off but an encouraging showing and I was surprised he was the first man subbed.

Bobby Duggan is a serious detail with the ball in his hand, hit a couple of lovely scores and he worked hard in terms of tackling and hassling the limerick backs but he also ran out of stream with 10 minutes to go. HE made some intelligent runs but English seemed to have the better of him when direct ball was played in in front of Duggan. English looks like he will be a good find for Limerick.

Honan did himself no harm whatsoever, really came into it when moved to wing forward after 15/20 minutes, took off on two run which were similar to the ones we saw a few years back, where you could see the panic in the Limerick defence once he opened his stride up. Is worth a couple of outings at wing forward in the league to see how he goes. I think he is a lad who would benefit from being involved more in the half forward line rather than isolated inside. Conlon was Conlon worked hard and shipped some punishment

Tots hit two fine scores off the bench and did a great dispossession on Richie McCarthy, Golden got on a couple of balls while McGrath didnā€™t have time to impress. Tony Kelly hit two or three poor wides from distance but did well in a deep role. Continually got on the ball and beat a man before driving it up field.

All in all a good outing for January, the poor second half wides and some individual defensive lapses/poor haldpasses aside we looked relative sharp in our hurling for January and our attitude was good. Bodes well

Our issues in the fullback line look like continuing for a while yet, although I donā€™t think we were ever opened up last night, Limerickā€™s best chances came from Clare mistakes. Oā€™Connor has enough nous about him that he might get by at fb.
Cleary was the best of the backs, even if he tends to cut inside and look for the switch ball all the time. Expected Davy Mc to be more prominent but apart from a couple of bursts he didnā€™t really dominate there. Reidy is worth persevering with at mf, we donā€™t have a whole load of options and if he moved the ball on a bit quicker heā€™d do alright there.
Thought the forwards were better in the first half, their movement and rotation had the Limerick backs struggling, and on a quicker pitch theyā€™d have had more opportunities. Peter Dugganā€™s stickwork looked tidier last night, wasnā€™t as prone to getting blocked down as before, Honan hit in some quality ball when he was brought out, good showing.
Game went a bit flat after half-time I thought, a good few careless wides on our part but we kept them at armā€™s length. Positive start to the year.
