And they wonât go with an extra defender either. They play a zonal game which is a million times better than the Waterford muck.
Kilkennys half forwards donât drop back and half back line sit deep? The only difference is Kilkenny âUstaâ break up the field quicker. Kilkenny mastered the art of playing the free arm and playing the Hurley! But I suppose Kilkenny invented the game and own hurling!!

Credit to Clare for not capitulating completely and keeping the scoreboard respectable. As I anticipated though, Waterford were far too good for the whipping boys of Munster and won pulling up.

Very little energy in Clare in the second half. Kelly, Galvin, Podge, and McGrath nowhere to be seen. Waterfordâs setup had a fair bit to do with that but it doesnât explain it all away. Not attacking Waterford directly, but not getting the key players on the ball further out the field either. Major systems failure for Clare.
One championship win from seven (over Offaly) since that most fortuitous of All Ireland wins in 2013.
Kilkenny brought their own cuntishness to the game but it was easier to watch than the Waterford horseshit.
I said here somewhere that Waterford had all the ammo they needed after Clare robbed them in the league final,I would expect Shannahan,Moran and Gleeson to be nominated for MOTM with the Deise Captain deservedly getting it.
