Classic Matches

I don’t see how he was wasted. He played in the best league in the world at that point in time.

A shame he never won the CL, if he had not been suspended for the CL final against Milan that time then Juve would have won. He was their talisman.

I think I remember that game.
Wasnt the best of a final in fairness.
I retract wasted but he could of went to play for any of the top teams in europe and walk into their team

Thanks. Changed now

Unreal composure by Pirlo not to shoot and for grosso to stay onside. He’d a wand of a left foot. Did he ever do much before or after that tournament? The del piero goal is simply amazing.

Absolutely.

He was a manager’s dream. Guys like Zidane could give you moments of magic in a game but I’d have Nedved every time in front of him, Nedved gave you 90 minutes of effort and quality, he was oozing with quality.

Nedved is one of the greatest players I’ve seen in Serie A. I’d probably put him in the top 5. The most complete player I’ve ever seen, he could do it all. A lot of people go on about the great midfield United had under Ferguson - Beckham, Scholes, Keane, Giggs. They were great because they all brought something different, they all complimented each other. Nedved was the four of them in one, a leader to boot, a fantastic temperament and attitude, he could play anywhere and you know he was going to deliver a performance.

Nedved won the Ballon D’Or (footix alert) lads. No way he was underrated.

Naturally two footed too. Could strike a bullet with either foot

He won a Ballon d’Or but I still think he is massively underrated. One of the greatest ever for me.

End to end from start to finish

Classic cup quarter finals on BBC 1 now. Forest v WBA just over. Great goal line clearance by Paddy Mulligann at the end.

Watford Arsenal 1987 on now.

Very good goal but Grosso’s goal was a thing of beauty - The sublime no-look pass from Pirlo followed by a devastating finish and passionate celebrations, wonderful.
