WTF @fran? Classic grunge, and you lump this shit in here. I’m frankly disgusted. This thread is in very poor taste and I hope you get a lengthy ban.

Grunge was a state of mind and also the worst possible fashion for 16 year old boys trying it on with 16 year old girls

It’s been established since post 2 that it’s not a grunge thread @fran appears to think grunge was a period of time, nothing wrong with that though, most of the tunes are good.

None of the above would hold a candle to Jimmy Crowley!

There’s more grunge in this clip than a lot of the stuff posted overnight. Green Day and Offspring are punk? Pixies? Weezer? Christ.

Well said, fucking proper grunge bands like Lemon heads are getting lost in the dross

Good man Harry. 2 classics. 25 years old and still fresh.

Went to see these in Henrys way back. Nirvana were supporting. Don’t remember them that particularly well as we were not really there for them. But they were thrashy and it was different.

@Turenne watches too much docs on music. I have seen them all, the bands themselves hate the word grunge, say its influenced by bands 10 years previous etc. But is it not all about the movement? When it makes its way to the world?

Anyway its simply, music i like, music i don’t like.
I could listen to PJ, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Curtis Mayfield, The Roots all in one sitting.

I’ve never watched a documentary on music in my life but ok mate, if you say so.

One of the 10k minimum that squeezed into Henry’s back in 91

A mate of mine at the time was a huge sonic youth fan and won a competition on MTV to travel to Europe somewhere and hang out with them, I cant recall the details but they were great lads (and lassies) apparently.

I was actually very young but my cousin DJ’d in there occassionally. I had not drank yet.

I always get “you were yeah…” line. Don’t say it hardly anymore.
