Anyone ever read the James Rhodes book? “Instrumental”. Tis good.

That was fantastic. Always fills me with faith in Ireland’s youth. The tabloids don’t tell you about the fantastic string orchestra from a deis school in Crumlin with 100 kids of all races and colors all unbelievably proficient in their instruments.

The irish are good for fuck all when it comes to classical music. Regional and natiional competitions are easy pickings for any kid with a modicum of talent and a work ethic. It’s no wonder kids of migrants are over represented amongst the winners.
We have trad, but that’s like comparing rugby to ballet.
It’s a bit like tyrone gaa. You can have a showpiece in the nch/croke park, but it’s only papering over the cracks. ( @Cicero_Dandi )

Just finished the Godfather trilogy for the first time in years, part 3 had plenty of faults but the end scene is incredible with this piece.
