Wow, sulky racing with regard for peoples’ and animals’ safety, what a creative imagination that child has.

You are either very naive or a WUM on this

Beautifully written, this lad has potential aside from immense nature as displayed in his caring for his steed.

If I posted that list I’d be lambasted from all quarters.

Written by John Paul age 7 (he thinks).

Back in the day there used to be a big pony racing circuit called flapping. I’d say it was completely unregulated. At these meetings there would always be a few sulky races.

No idea if the flapping still goes on. Used to be a big festival in Dingle and Dunmanway. I’d say I was at dozens of meetings as a kid. Lot of the professional jockeys would have come up through that route

Dingle still going anyway, Sam Ewing and Dylan Browne McMonagle of this year’s leading apprentices were winners there last time it was held

I didn’t write that mate, I can guarantee you though that the fella who did absolutely loves his horses and would take great offence if you suggested that he would treat them with cruelty.

Nice to get the other side of the story every once in a while.

Silly season now with these rotten cunts, the usual tits around here will keep defending them of course.

Flapping is huge.

This kind of reckless behaviour on public roads is an absolute disgrace & anyone defending it is a complete idiot.

If it’s me you’re talking about I’m not defending anyrhing, I’ve never defended criminality or wreckless endangerment of public safety,
I do like to see some balance though and I’d never like to see any group of people all tarred with the same brush. That’s usually what happens here, you post something derogatory about travellers in general and wait for the likes to roll in, it’s just the way it is.
The little fella who wrote that thing I stuck up earlier is stone mad about his horses, spends hours every day caring for them, he’s a great young fella who’ll never have an opportunity in life.

Fair play to the young fella, I hope he has a great life. The reality is that the biggest obstruction to his future opportunities will come from his own community.

No surprise that this is probably posted as a wind up but the reality is that there are some travelers who value their horses. The sad thing is that they are usually young men or children who have yet to have their culture beaten into them by the kinds of thugs who control the horse trade in the traveler world.

These kinds of cunts should have their vehicles taken from them on the day and all monies found on them confiscated. But that will never happen. Far too many do-good types to defend them.

Fair enough, but those were in his way before he was even born, his parents aren’t criminals and are very supportive of his schooling

If that’s the case he’ll be fine, don’t know why you think he’ll amount to nothing.

No messing. Would you think of sending that on to horsey types/trainers around you? If the young fella loves horses as much as you say and you convey that they’ll surely give him a look or let him visit a few times to help. Who knows what may come of it.

Tough on the kids without doubt / no or v little chance in that macho bullshit culture for any child to broaden their mind
