My old hometown Bishopstown Cork, when travellers behaved and mixed well, went to school with a few, no issues, but this current shower are a different breed altogether

Cork doesn’t have as much trouble compared to a majority of the country, few troublemakers but overall very quiet

I’d rate it as informative.

Would all those houses stand idle/empty for most of the year?

How did this come about? All these travellers in Rathkeale? Why that particular town? And what about the non-traveller population? How on earth do they cope with that?

Anyone ever remember the blog by the Richard Kerry O’Brien bloke? Think one of his sons or nephews was involved in the rhino horn smuggling caper.

Also, some quality traveller porn on xnxx.

That’s the greatest segway I’ve ever seen on TFK

I didn’t realise homosexuality was so accepted in the travelling community. I had them pegged all wrong, all the while they were the ones being pegged

I know a few normal people from Rathkeale. Generally the town is full of travellers only but it’s actually quite a big parish and the countryside would have normal folk a lot of whom would have farms. There’s at least one pub in the town reserved for normal folk that the travellers don’t frequent and visa versa there’s two pubs that are traveller only. Personally I hate the place I don’t like driving through there but the people I know from the hinterland aren’t too bothered by doing shopping for example in the town, which does have a very good and large Spar shop. I’m told the town is bearable for 10 months of the year but the traveller migration begins in November and they go back mid to late January.

I honestly can’t see the problem. It’s no different at all to the D4 colonisation of ballyconeely and Roundstone.

Rathkeale is fine for ten months of the year. You only really notice itenerants in Dec and Jan when they block up Main St. For the most part they don’t interfere with town’s settled population. The town itself doesn’t have much going for it, although some incorrectly think it’s rough when it’s not really. I’d go for a pint in Rathkeale at night sooner than Newcastle. The settled travellers in Sharwood and Castleview Estates in NCW are a dangerous breed.

Would you go into the town the ten months it’s quieter for bits and bobs like the shop or pharmacy? I’m told by the locals I know that the travellers don’t like shitting on their own doorstep so there isn’t a lot of skullduggery in the town year round per say.
