You reference to the Buffers Alley team of 1991 and 1992 getting honoured at half time struck me as an omen for a changing of the guard. That was a Dadâs Army Buffers Alley team and they havenât won since 1992. I was actually at the 1991 final. You probably were too. The Harriers were the beaten finalists.
Has to be good for Wexford hurling. Martins have a lot of very talented young players.

Kilmacud beat Lucan in the other semi final 1.13 to 0.13. A pretty bizarre finish. Lucan leading by a point with 3 minutes left. They had a strong wind and looked the most likely winners when they inexplicably replaced their goalie who was not injured. The sub keeper was not on 30 seconds when he let in a soft goal. Game over.
