Club Championships 2019

They’d want to get these lads off the pitch in Cork before they are struck by lightning

You’d be fair sick if you are from a normal sized club and you end up getting knocked out of the championship at the business end of the year by a divisional team with a pick of half the county.

I know Cork have always included divisional and college teams but if must be a bit demoralizing to get knocked out by an amalgamation team with a sprinkling of intercounty players.

Yes. I hurled Senior with them for years. I don’t think they went back to intermediate until 2001. Don’t think we ever got past the senior quarter final though.

They were also senior in the early 60s and I think two of the Dublin team that played in the 1961 All Ireland Hurling Final were from Scoil.

Cork hurling is too soft according to the lads.

RTE only showing this cause it’s cheap. A table, an iPhone and a few pretend mics and you’re on air.

Sure beats Waterford v dundalk last night. Eircom league is septic. Imokily shouldn’t be in the competition, don’t have any support, add nothing to it. They should have been on first too because all the crowd left after the first game.

Imokilly are done for next year becuase good few of their clubs will be promoted to senior b and ineligible.

They’ll only lose o Neills players?

Do they field underage hurling teams at all or do they join up with someone else in the locality?

They are going to ship some hammerings in Senior A next year unfortunately. Gap between a and b and division 1 and 2 is fairly huge in Dublin.

I havent seen the grading table but I was informed Cloyne and Castlyons also could be in senior b depending on results

Amalgamation teams are the future of inter-county Gaelic football

I think it could be a great 3 team championship

They work at club level so I don’t see why not

They field at all age groups boys and girls. They have a huge operation going there on Saturday mornings.

They wouldn’t join up with anyone in the locality as the locality is Clontarf and they detest Clontarf and the feeling is mutual.

They have a feeder school, it’s some gaelscoil in Harmonstown that has been a gold mine for the club. When I was in the club the tie in with O’Connell School was on its last legs and very few came through from the school and the club looked like it was finished.

That’s the one

Ulster, Dublin and Rest of Country.

I’d make Ulster favourites.
