Huh? If the ball travels this side of the post it blocks out the post, ergo a score. I think itā€™s a clear point

I agree but @count_of_monte_crist was saying that the post blocks out the ball so it is a wide.

It looks like thereā€™s a slight outswing on the ball as it travels

Thatā€™s the way yer man kicks it, he kicks through it

The ball lands quite central behind the goal

I donā€™t see how the ball could have gone wide, especially given where it was kicked from

Optical illusions are well possible on low spec phones

if the post blocks the ball it has gone behind it, which would make it wide.

if the ball blocked the post it would make it a score as the ball would have passed in front of port and betweenā€¦ it canā€™t be behind the near post and over

He put a lovely disguise on his shot.

If you look closely, the post appears to bend outward just below where the ball is

Now that could be because the post actually did momentarily bend outward, or because weird stuff happens with pixels on low spec phones

Iā€™m leaning towards the theory that there was a momentary disruption to the time/space continuum, and that post did actually bend

Iā€™m gonna go with the reaction of the keeper here.

Thatā€™s the near post mate??? :eyes:

Wide as a gate.

The keeper didnā€™t complain at all and he was right under it

Classic keeper reaction for a point. Heā€™d surely have gone buck ape if twas wide

Then if its behind the post itā€™s a point mate

ah hear do i have to draw you a picture?

Clearly you do mate. If the ball is obscured by the near post, it goes behind it, hence its a score.

Top
It if goes to the left the ball will obscure the post and travel between posts.
Bottom
If the ball goes behind the post and obscured itā€™s to the right of it and wide.

In any case the higher res pic has cleared up that it was a score.
