He’s 100% right

The GAA is based on bitterness . Gloating at the demise of your county champions is perfectly rational behavior.

He is 100% correct and more credit due in that he has applied the “Brian Cody bounce” when replying to a run of the mill question. Well schooled!

Is that a fucking snood?

Politicians son wouldn’t be use to the cold

John O Loughlin has transferred from St Brigid’s to Rosenallis. Which will be a kick in the nuts for Mountmellick who he moved to Brigid’s from. Which was a kick in the nuts for Rosenallis who he left as an U14 to go to Mountmellick.

Doesn’t hurt that Rosenallis as Senior in hurling and football and Mountmellick are Intermediate in both.

Is there not 2 clubs in MountMisery?
Are the Rock from there as well?

They are. Also struggling in Intermediate. Kilcavan are on the outskirts, they’re down Junior.

Liam Watson retires. What a man

After a long hard few months I have decided to retire from hurling altogether. Am very lucky to have achieved nearly the lot in the sport. I’ve market some great players down threw my time. I regret absolutely nothing, i want to thank my family for there support over the yrs

Odd retirement announcement. No mention of club or county though he has had his differences with both over the years

A wonderful talent but I always got the impression he might be hard managed

He’s from Antrim, it’s a prerequisite!

There’s been lots of stories about him. Liked the booze they say. Also played soccer so conflicts created between the few pound he got for that on a Saturday and hurling on a Sunday. Super talent but boys in Antrim would tell you he never dominated games in club there.

He was a fantastic talent on his day. However for a player who was marked out as a star from his minor days in 2000 and 2001 he really didn’t have a long intercounty career. Soccer, fall outs etc all played their part. For me his best performance for Antrim was in 2010 in the quarter final Vs Cork. Jim Nelson got the best out of him in Loughgiel’s run to the club title. Oh and he was as daft as a brush off the field.

Think I remember that. He was lucky not to see red early on but actually gave an unreal display of point taking?

Yeah he hit Eoin Cadogan early in that game. Should have got the line.

Did he not get sent off in that game? Which sums him up. Brilliant & a bit crazy. I’m told he’s a decent enough sort but not the sharpest tool in the box and when he has drink in him he’s an obnoxious gobshite.
