It would have got some crowd in Thurles.
Limerick people would be more inclined to get behind Kilmallock than the latte drinkers.
A proper game of hurling with two proper hurling teams, none of this challenge match type championship games, loose, open hurling that the stadium is used to

You reckon tipp hurling fans would have been enticed by the opportunity to see two preeminent teams play off?
Kilmallock success should be enjoyed by Kilmallock - not for others to piggyback on
The PUC surface will be better
Best pitch in Munster by a country mile. Thurles has been dreadful for years now, even Ennis and the GG are better than it,
Thurles has never been the same since the 80s , great summer field
Tipp people are always interested in watching good teams play hurling.
Anyway the decision is made now and so be it.
The choice of official now is the big thing. Fergal Horgan is the logical choice.
Tipp had 4,000 at their own county final.
The Limerick team never loses when Fergal referees.

There was around 10k at the Tipperary Final this year.
The replay was less alright.
Waterford and Fergal just seemed to take an instant dislike to eachother around 5 years ago.
On an excellent surface. That’s what you want.
