Jimmy told a yarn about the 1986 World Cup, how he was walking out of the Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara with the samba beating Brazilian hordes after Brazil had beaten Poland in the Round of 16. Next thing he hears this roaster roaring at him âHey Jimmy did you hear that Wicklow beat Laois in Aughrim yesterday and there were half a dozen sent offâ.

They probably should have moved Adam to 14 quicker to at least create contests.
They gave it a go anyway, were always unlikely to be able to sustain the effort of the first half and Ballygunner are well-seasoned. A lot of handling errors, unusually for them.
Gave a good account of themselves. A few what ifs but theyâll take their seasonâs haul

If we had gotten to the All Ireland final Doon would have had another couple of weeks on the piss / time to prepare for a tilt at Munster. We need to get back to business as usual and automatic entry to the Munster semi final next year.
Adam didnât feature too heavily in the second half. They persisted with pucking the ball on top of Maher for too long also when it clearly wasnât working.
Dunshauglin didnât even win the Leinster intermediate when they were in it two years ago. Huge win for Tinahealy against Portarlington in Leinster too. The final being on a Saturday obviously helped to give them an extra day to recover from the session.
