Club Championships 2025/26

We are all sorted down here. 1 of the forums most distinguished members was hurling on our 3g last Saturday. Regarding the @Plastic_Paddy holiday fund it was handy enough because most of your lads had only euros

We planted a tree down in hough end though.

I know i haven’t spent them yet

You must come down to our grand opening. Will update you with details once known. It is a decent place tbf.

Tipp O40s v a Warwickshire legends side to open it up followed by Limerick v Clare?

Would @flattythehurdler qualify as Warwickshire legend. We’ll have to get him in somewhere

I’d be an asset to any bench.

We’ll knock something up for you. We’ll leave the Lord Mayor of Didsbury out of the equation because he might not allow you on the bench.

Will jemba be going?

There’s a blast from the past. The only man to have crossed the divide

An absolute gentleman of the very highest order.
His treatment between the two clubs was a reflection of each at the time.

Absolutely lovely fella. So good they named him twice.

They were sound chaps

Who would you expect to win it out this year?

Causeway seemed to have dropped back a bit in recent years, I remember we played them in 2020 and themselves & Kilmoyley were both very strong.

Abbeydorney, Crotta, even Ballyheigue seem to have risen a good bit since then and Ballyduff still relatively strong?

Do you think Abbeydorney will go back-to-back?

It doesnt get bigger than that lads

I would think Abbeydorney are rightly favourites. Monkey off their back and a nice aged team.

Kilmoyley were lucky enough to win both group games and have a young team, but will take beating as always.

I see Ballyduff are 9/1 to win it out. Seems a big price. Themselves and Kilmoyley can never be written off. I would guess the price is based on the loss to Brendans in the group. But that game didn’t matter and both sides knew that.

Having not won a game in the previous two years Ardfert (Brendans) topped their group with two good wins, but I don’t think they have IT to win it out. Lack of bottle in previous years.

Ballyheigue are improving but to win it out would be a major upset.
Although it’s been two in a row surprise winners in Crotta & Abbeydorney, so maybe these are Kerry hurlings revolution years.

Causeway seem to be at nothing this year, I’d say a line can be firmly drawn through them.

Outside of Causeway I would think any of the 5 could win it.
I would have them in the order above.

  1. Abbeydorney
  2. Kilmoyley/Ballyduff
  3. Ballyheigue/Ardfert

Ardfert and Ballyheigue carrying baggage of not having won it in a long time pushes them down the list, while both Kilmoyley and Ballyduff have unique talent of winning when they shouldn’t.
