Lads just donât get that teams filled with multiple multiple All Ireland winners who escape the bearpit of the Limerick championship are barely sober when they face off against Ballygunner who live for this competition and have done nothing of note at intercounty

Thatâs mad. I worked with a lad who went on his annual week long skiing trip to Morzine with the old school gang a day after the birth of his first born. I remember thinking it was crazy but missing the birth of your child to travel across the world for the inter-parochial knock outs is absolutely mental.

Mikey Geaney too is based in Dublin and barely trained all winter with the team.
The whole thing is just mad when you think of the hurdles they had to overcome.
Thereâs probably a lesson too for all clubs to keep the door open for fellas. Even if they canât commit fully, if they can contribute any bit at all its better than nothing.

Iâd say OâCinneide has a lovely way about him when dealing with such matters. You look at lads taking cheap shots at GAA Aminstrators but behind every trophy is fine number of committeeeees and a chair ruling with an iron fist.
