A titanic clash between the two faithful heavyweights today cc @peddlerscross

A potential game for the ages (or KK could win by 20 points - who knows)

In typical GAA fashion I fully expect no jersey change

There is nothing more certain…drives me mad

Having the pitch in town gets lads into it as well from an early age.

Bruff is grand as well

My beloved Ballinamere have been going stink so not much confidence in getting a result but Kilcormac haven’t been pulling up any trees either.

Would Declan Laffan be doing the coaching there or does he have a sidekick of some description?

Cian Treacy from Thurles is with him.

They really missed a trick there

KK leading 8-5 after 12 mins.

13-5 now. KK well on top. Dan Bourke just thwarted with a goal chance to narrow the margin.

What did it finish up?

Still going

60+3 mins. @MolloyPrecast Senior Hurling Championship Quarter-Final.

@BallinamereGAA 2-17
@KK_GAA 2-27

Kilcoo get a scare against Loughinisland but scrape through by 2 points. In last years quarter, semi and final Kilcoo conceded a combined total of 22 points, Loughinisland kicked 2.18 against them today. The new rules have finished all hopes of Kilcoo winning another Ulster, but with Burrens injuries they may just have enough for another county title.

St Vincents relegated from Senior Football in Dublin. Brian Mullins and Heffo are spinning in their graves.

What happened them? Very little young population/new estates in their catchment area?

Hard to say. Hurling definitely the stronger sport at juvenile level. Their recent 2 x all ireland winning teams were backboned by outsiders and carried by Connolly.

They were relegated 3/4 years ago and came straight back up.

Eire Óg in a senior relegation final in Carlow. MLR left down the hurls and beat them 2-7 to 1-8. Eire Óg had drawn with both Rathvilly and Old Leighlin so they’re caught on head-to-head. Chris Conway over MLR.
