Liverpool has veered away from the good protestant work ethic which founded it.

I suppose my main question is why is having less money than another team seen as a positive in a professional sport? Why do fans boast about spending less on players than other teams? I could understand it if they were involved in underage coaching or were getting a cut of the profits saved by not spending the money. It even makes a tiny bit of sense if you are comparing Liverpools money to that of city’s which comes from ‘dodgy’ sources. But man united for instance made their money in the exact way Liverpool could have made theirs. Building a bigger stadium selling more merchandise signing sponsorship deals. Why aren’t united fans boasting about spending more money on players instead of vice versa?
Who’s boasting? I’d love if Liverpool could fuck billions at it like Utd. It would be unreal… We’re merely pointing to the unbelievable job Klopp has done under financial restrictions.
You just don’t get it
It wouldn’t mean more if it was easy. You have to walk through the storm holding your head high while they tell you never.
Its a poor return alright no doubt about that
Alex Ferguson failed to win a single league title in his first 6 years at Man United. In fact it took him 13 years to eventually win a European Cup. He’s the greatest manager the game has ever seen but by your logic he was a failure.
Apparently there’s a new chant to the lyrics of “We built this City” by Starship. It’s called “We built Man City on blood money”.
Almost all soccer clubs in England have largely very localised parochial support. Man U and Liverpool are the the two real exceptions that attract that mass worldwide following. Woolwich to a lesser extent maybe as well. Even at that the support of Man U worldwide dwarfs that of Liverpool particularly in the Asian market.
The knives are being sharpened I see
Beautiful from Gerrard… We love Jurgen…
Speaking like a true fan
The obsession continues.
Greats become greats because they adapt and change.
It’s sad to see lads trapped in fixed mindsets.
Did one of these lads suggest Liverpool league titles pre 1992 did not count ?
Klopp is living rent free in so many heads.
Football is about to change for ever and the first thought of @BruidheanChaorthainn , @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy , @Batigol , @The_Most_Infamous, @Watchyourtoes and @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy is Klopp this and Klopp that
Who? What?
I didn’t mention the man but by Christ that’s a needy post
