Ferguson oversaw a pub league … What he and the players had right is that they were way ahead on fitness levels and they ground teams down. They used to destroy teams in the last 10 mins of games. They didn’t have the same joy on that front in Europe where they were often schooled.
In the current league where there’s much more parity in that front he’d be at the level of Sean Dyche.

In fairness Ferguson was at Man United for 27 years. If Klopp managed Liverpool for a comparable length then he’d have multiple titles too. For comparison if we say that Ferguson had stepped away at the end of the 1994/95 season(after 8.5 years) then he’d have done so with two League Titles and no Champions League/European Cup success. Two great managers in two different eras.
I was just thinking there that John Kiely is probably the GAA equivalent of Pep Guardiola. Backed by a sugar daddy. Pep would definitely have gone to court to give Kyler a character reference too.
