So as you don’t burn the coffee etc? Sure just switch it off before it gets to a dull boil, or let it go off the boil before using it. Before is better apparently…bit of a cod I’d say

This arrived yesterday. Had a couple of goes off her, trying to find the right mix. Need to stir the coffee and leave it sit for around 4 mins before plunging to get a good kick out of it. Two scoops of coffee to 3.5 cups of water to get two decent cups of coffee topped up a small bit with more water, milk to taste. Very smooth…

It’s a great yoke, if you find the plunger is being pushed up a little you might consider wetting the coffee a little, ‘blooming’ it’s called and it’s generally good idea…maybeeven a game changer. If the plunger isn’t being pushed up a little your coffee might be old.
