I think the TV screens told the complete story - 63,000 people singing and dancing joyously in the new Wembley Stadium in what was a beautiful and fitting tribute to the memory of The Queen of Hearts.
And how fantastic to see both Princes thoroughly enjoying themselves and once again showing they’re both a credit to The Royal Family and are becoming ever more capable and adept during their public engagements and appearances.
I’m incredibly impressed with William’s maturity of late. He’s got such a calm assurance and warm demeanour even while having to deal with the annoying requests for handshakes and photgraphs by a series of commoners. In fact I think he undoubtedly has the potential to be our best King since Charles III.
But the best thing was the nation standing proud and tall, in a typically British fashion, and reclaiming the memory of Diana from those horrible and scaremongering journalists whose stories have appeared consistently in the press over recent years.
Once more we can recall fondly that jovial and fun-loving figure who brought sheer joy to all our lives with her mere presecence. The Queen of Hearts is back where she belongs and that’s resting firmly inside my heart.
I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder to be a resident of The British Isles.
