Ah Sid. The Dublin Championships have been a joke since the county teams got a bit of success. One game in April. Then wait 5 months and play 5 games in 2 weeks. Dual players get hammered. County semi finals on a Friday and County Finals 3 days later on Bank Holiday Monday. Any change to this nonsense should be welcomed

There are 32 teams in the Dublin SFC. Therefore to win the championship when it resumes in October you have to win four games barring replays, not five.

There was a week and a half gap between the semi-finals and final.

If you can have a week and a half gap between the county semi-finals and final, well, sorry, I don’t see the problem.

Ye we have the bizarre situation where club players are waffling on about “club football RIP” when the new system means a longer time frame for the club championships to be played without interference from inter-county action.

You’d almost think some of these lads hadn’t the first clue what they were talking about. A bit like the NOGRA/NAMBLA lads.
