Congress 2017 - Super 8 Wars! Edit

Surely a plant?

One on one penalty will be great. Far better than what currently exists.

No extra time for Cship matchers either. And automatic promotion for Christy Ring winners, which I imagine means Kerry will be back in the Munster Championship soon.

No, bizarrely, whoever wins the Christy Ring goes into the Leinster Championship qualifying group.

So you could have Kerry playing in Leinster next year.

Are you sure? I read it differently? If thats the case they may as well do away with the provinces once and for all. They’re making a cunt of Leinster.

EDIT, you’re actually right. That is fucking mental. Cunts.

No extra time at all now? That seems ridiculous. Thought they were going the other way bringing it in for all games

Not for Championship proper only, presume it will still exist for qualifiers and replays?

Correct.

Leinster hurling has now conquered all four provinces. It’s time to abolish Munster and the All-Ireland, subsume everybody into Leinster and award the old Bob O’Keeffe Cup to the winners. The McCarthy Cup is a shit trophy anyway.

Come down off them oul’ drugs there pal.

A panel of 26 players (team plus subs) be registered no later than 9am on the Thursday before a weekend game. The penalty for breaking the rule is the withdrawal of sideline privileges for the manager and/or a €1000 fine. No players may be added to the registered team or panel after it has been submitted (with the exception of a goalkeeper or sub-goalkeeper) and the penalty for breaking this rule is forfeiture of the game. On the day of the match itself

Passed

Bring back the real Bob O Keeffe

So is that the actual starting 15 has to be set in stone on a thursday?

No.

On the day of the match itself, a prescribed team list (as issued by the Committee-in-Charge from time to time), confirming the 15 starting players and maximum 11 additional panel members, shall be submitted to the referee not later than 20 minutes before the official starting time. A fine of €1000 will be issued for every minute after the prescribed time."

Motion 6 (Clare): To increase the diameter size of the sliotar to 85-88mm (from 69-72mm) and the mass to 150-160mm (from 110-120mm), thereby reducing the likely travel distance.[/QUOTE]
They don’t like it up em… Davy with his tippy tappy shite.

They are usually special alright.

Fucks sake.

It does look a bit like something you’d get for winning a darts league.

Is this for IC championship only? And what happens if a player gets injured or indisposed after the Thursday?
