Connacht Rugby Bandwagon Thread

All the snooker halls I misspent my youth in have gone. Sad times.

You’re getting old. Why don’t you write a post about your favourite snooker experience that may or may not have actually taken place? Make sure it’s twee.

A 32 break as an 11 year old. Still my highest. It wasn’t twee (that would have required an extra point and a speech impediment I don’t have) but, like Tana Umaga and Keven Mealamu attempting to paralyse Brian O’Driscoll from the neck down, it did happen.

Is the one in Ranelagh still going Sidney? I,d say the smoking ban was the nail in the coffin for snooker in this country

Jason’s? Long gone, sadly

Jason’s is gone at least 10 years I’d say.

Raphael’s in Lucan was another good one that closed down about eight or nine years ago.

Spawell and a place in Tallaght village were others in Dublin I frequented at various stages that have also gone.

Edit: Spawell is still there apparently.

Thats sad to hear. Buzz inback in the day was Howl of the moon for fanny. And once fanny wasn’t hav’n it you’d head right up the top corner of snooker. Great place to smoke, drink, do what you like

Cross Guns snooker hall is still there in Phibsboro. One of the great snooker halls.

The snooker table in Downes pub in Waterford is still there but the Showboat is gone. Not sure if Sullys is still there but I never liked it anyway.

Golf clubs are usually a good bet for a snooker table Sidney.

The only problem is golf clubs are full of cunts

I know of a golf club in Wicklow that had a snooker room designed into its clubhouse - the room was the dimensions of a snooker table

Rosmuc.

If the room has the dimensions of the snooker table, that means the snooker table would be touching all four walls, and thus you’d have to stand on the table to play, which is illegal under the rules of the game.

They really haven’t thought this through. They need a bigger room.

Correct Sidney. You are required to keep one foot on the floor at all times.

Referee absolutely riding Connacht here against Cardiff. Disgraceful scenes.

Grim affair in the Sportsground. 3 apiece after 65 minutes. Do they believe?

Ulster late try to make it 10-3. Comanche squandered that one.

5 players on the pitch now from the Pro 12 leaders. Tis lucky you boys got on when you did.
