Conor Bradley Liverpool and Norn Iron

Head down and accept the abuse and hatred… Just like the good old days…

It’s not dumb… it’s the very essence if the issue. The state was built on one community dominating the other through hatred and sectarianism. You want this to remain the status quo

It appears to me that you’re the one advocating the status quo you mention, how in the name of God is a lad from the 6 counties declaring for the Republic of Ireland soccer team going to help change your status quo.

And suggesting that it’s comparable with bringing Unionist matching bands back into nationalist areas I’d indeed a dumb comparison

The IFA need to get their house in order perhaps

You think a kid should represent a group that hates him and are very open in their hate… That’s your answer??? Christ above…

It might help change it because if they keep losing good players they might have a look at themselves and how they behave.
I don’t see a massive problem anyway with fellas who see themselves as ‘irish’ playing for Ireland and fellas who see themselves as ‘british’ or northern Irish playing for Northern Ireland. That’s an absolute corner stone of the peace process and good Friday agreement that people can declare their own identity and nationality.

Exactly. The change has to come from the hate filled bigots… not the young lads looking to play football.

what’s the difference between the two? Footballers aren’t bigots?

One is institutional and formed the basis for creating the state and led to 30 years of murder. I’m not sure of the individual footballer’s feelings

They haven’t moved on from the like of Billy Bingham and '93, they still hate us every bit as they did then, if not more

You’d have to wonder what world some lads are living in…

Seems to be a Tyrone thing. Take the Norn Iron soup. Derry men like McClean and Duffy told them where to go.

It’d certainly help things if these Taig bastards would just stand there for God Save the Queen, accept their abuse and vitriol and the occasional few bullets in the post graciously and just fucking get on with it.

They should know their place… That will address the ills here.

Your point is reasonable and there is a huge amoungst of ignorance on here from lads who have no clue of the current relationship between the IFA and the FAI…and it would probably shock them even more to know that the biggest opponet to an all ireland league was actually the Cliftonville representative but that’s another story

anyhow, i have no idea who this chap is but id hazard a guess he has played 15s/16s/17s/21s etc with NI and has been with them all the way up- it is his right to declare for the ROI if he sees fit, that’s a personal decision for him to make and is his own business BUT there is absolutly no way Stephen Kenny and the FAI can try to influence his thought process, it is wrong and damages the relationship between both assocaiations who are actually trying to work together and one day i hope we can have a cross border league or some form of cup competition.
look i get the politics and all this nonsense and this lad has a choice to make and its his own business to decide how he wants to manage his career and where he feels part of BUT from a professional sense the FAI absolutely cannot get involved in any way as the IFA have invested in this player all the way up. if it was i dunno England or Luxembourg maybe we could approach him but the ROI/NI player switching/poaching it was agreed has to be done by the player and not the association…Barraclough, ,mick o neill , martin o neill, kenny are decent footballing men and this shit is a big no no

Should the player decide to switch - grand
on the IFA should they get their house in order- i guess they are trying and it is a kick in the teeth for them when a lad wants to switch but what can they do if they feel irish and not northern irish

Never mind the Good Friday Agreement which recognises in law that they are Irish citizens if they so choose and that they can play for the Republic of Ireland.

Fuck that. That’s only International Law. Stand there and listen to us sing about the Para regiment and burning Catholics out of their houses like a good chap and then cross one in for Billy or Craig to nod home, like a good little Paddy.

When did Irish people become so subservient and self-loathing? They’d argue all day about international accounts of racism or antisemitism but then when it comes to the north they’ll bend over backwards to be accommodating to the hate filled Orange order and the black protestant bastards.

Back to Conor Bradley.

He’s rated highly at Liverpool. Now his chances of making a real breakthrough are unlikely as Trent Alexander Arnold will be at the club probably for the rest of his career. However, Liverpool were willing to let Neco Williams go this summer as they feel Bradley could be the back-up right back (they also have Joe Gomez for that position when stuck).

He’d be a good addition to the Irish squad.

He’s been named in the Northern Ireland squad so I doubt he’s going to switch

A right back? Sure we’ve loads of them. Tell him to fuck off and become a goal scoring striker instead

Yasser is a talented young footballer living in Jerusalem. Yasser is a Palestinian Muslim. Yasser is fucking good. Yasser gets a professional contract with a big club. Israel pick Yasser. Yasser doesn’t know what to do. Yasser doesn’t feel Israeli. Yasser doesn’t feel welcome in their stadium, doesn’t feel welcome by their fans. Yasser doesn’t really want to play with Israel, because guess what… Yasser is Palestinian. He’d prefer to play with Palestine’s team. Yasser refuses to play for Israel on these grounds. Thousands of Yasser’s countrymen, women and children have died at the hands of the Israelis. Yasser sees hate and bigotry towards his people on a regular basis. Yasser knows his history and understands his people.

“Yasser, you’re not fucking helping mate”
