Conor Bradley Liverpool and Norn Iron

So we need to approach Bradley about switching allegiance. Should he decide not to, then we know where we stand with the Tyrone man.

They can but having international caps at 18 can do so much for a young lad’s career.

If things don’t work out for Bradley at 21 and he’s a 21 year old with 15 international caps to his name, it brings so much more to him getting a decent contract elsewhere.

The facts are if McClean or Duffy were given senior call ups at 18 they’d be out of contention by the time they were approached by Ireland.

If England hadn’t approached Rice or Grealish in time they’d be playing for Ireland.

I’m from Monaghan, very close to Tyrone. I would rather die than play for Northern Ireland.

They were in constant contact with them. I posted an article about it a few weeks back. Rice and Grealish and their reps all knew the score. They knew where and when the point of no return was.

He’s from County Tyrone. Maybe he wanted to play for Ireland and not the partitionist Eire.

If Bradley, as a grown man, doesn’t want to play for us then good riddance.

You shouldn’t have to be “approached” to play for Ireland, if he wants to cosy up to the patrons in Windsor Park that’s his own business.

I don’t think it’ll be an issue for you

Yup so why has Spock not made a move to get Bradley to cross over.

It’s a shameful neglect of nationalist footballers up North. They’ll try and coax a few lads born in Dulwich to play for Ireland but not lads born in the wee six.

The FAI should have. No doubt.

Why has the player not made himself known/available? Is it because of Liverpool?

I guess it’s because he’s a young lad and his agents and advisors will be telling him of the benefit of international recognition at this point in his career.

Maybe he just feels like his team is Northern Ireland and that’s who he wants to play for

The big issue is why have the FAI stopped calling up northern born footballers?

Has there been many deemed worthy of it?

I would imagine so, certainly for the underage squads. Is there any northern born Irish youth international now?

Surely worth a look over the likes of Reece Greco-Cox.

I wouldn’t be familiar with the ROI underage squads to be honest.

Under the Good Friday Agreement these lads are entitled to play for whoever they want to so the onus is on them as much as it might be on the FAI. Stephen Kenny might not have rated him good enough to make the current squad ahead of the lads in it which is fair enough I guess.

Or maybe now they just want to play for the north.

At the turn of the decade the FAI were aggressively approaching northern born players to play for them.

The IFA threw a strop and the FAI seemed to have stopped, I can’t remember the last player to make the changeover.

It seems the FAI have neglected northern players in the past 5/6 years.

Doesn’t look like he’s had a decision to make.

Fluvio completely ignoring that his fellow county men are taking the Norn Iron soup. Mark Sykes showing these charlatans up for what they are.
