Conte has some big choices to make for this summer. If he goes with a strike pairing of Pelle and Eder then we will do nothing this summer. The problem is we donât really have any standout strikers at the minute but I would not have either of these two in the top 15 attackers available to Italy at this present time.
Pelle canât get in the Southampton team at the minute and Eder has really struggled since joining Inter and has yet to score. They are two journeymen footballers who hit a patch of form in the past couple of years but are limited players at the end of the day.
Luckily we seem to have a few attackers coming to form of later.
Destro after a slow start with Bologna has 8 in his last 12, Immobile has hit a brace today for Torino and is back playing regularly after returning on loan. Belotti has hit a few for Torino of late. Zaza is doing very well at Juve. El Shaarawy has started off very brightly at Roma. Pavoletti has done well at Genoa this season.
The options we have that are better than Pelle and Eder are infinite.
The five I would bring to France would be:
Destro
Immobile
Zaza
Insigne
El Shaarawy
Insigne ripping it up here in Munich.
Kroos gives Ze Germans the lead.
Italy 3-0 down now.
Bonucci looks like he has suffered a really bad injury.
Marchisio out of Euro 2016. Did his ACL today
Squad should be announced shortly.
I would go with:
Goalkeepers
Buffon
Sirigu
Perin
Defenders
Bonucci
Barzagli
Chiellini
Romagnoli
Darmian
Florenzi
Criscito
De Sciglio
Midfielders
Montolivo
De Rossi
Parolo
Candreva
Bonaventura
Jorginho
Attackers
Insigne
Borini
Pavoletti
El Shaarawy
Immobile
Berardi
Iâd imagine this will differ quite significantly with what Conte will go with, weâll most likely have to endure Pelle and Eder up front.
What about this Giovinco that plays for toronto, is he rated in the motherland?
Heâs very talented but Iâd be dubious about his credentials, he has the ability but he is a bit too slight and I wouldnât trust his mettle.
The few clips iâve seen of him he looks very good but thatâs in the junior B MLS, if he was really that good surely heâd be in europe?
