Argentina need to get a physical presence in their defence, both Burdisso and Milito are under 6 feet and are being eaten alive at set pieces. Who are the other centre backs in the Argentina squad?
Garay is in the squad anyway. Think they have some guy from Boca or somewhere too - we were discussing it on one of the earlier pages.
Garay isn’t the most physical of defenders either, he can be quite ponderous when it comes to attacking the ball. Forlan is picking out Lugano and Caceres everytime. It’s a good thing for Argentina that Coates is suspended tonight.

Are we all convinced that Suarez was interfering with play for the disallowed goal?
I think he tried to play the ball (a volley) so that renders him active and therefore offside, but I’m surprised there’s been no debate.
I’m always quite hazy on the actual rulings when it comes to interference in the offside rule. It’s regulary amended and such. It is contentious whether he interfered with that goal or not.
I’m an expert on the rule Totti and I’m happy with the decision. Just surprised nobody else queried it.
If the attacker interferes with an opponent (as opposed to interfering with play) then he’s “active.” Playing the ball or dummying the ball are considered interfering with an opponent as is attempting to play the ball.
Uruguay have done well to take the pace off this game but it’s livened up in the past couple of minutes. Get the sense Argentina will push for a winner, not sure they can trust their defence to keep it at one for extra time too.
