I think he’s injured.
Suarez is starting to become much more involved. I sense he could do something here.
Wish the other stadia in Argentina would be up to the standard of this arena in Santa Fe. Superb playing surface and very atmospheric.
Oh right, knew he was out for the Mexico game but thought he would have been available for tonight.
They’re very much the regional secondary stadia they’re using for some reason. Only the final is in Buenos Aries and when you think that most teams play in the capital they’re limiting themselves to inferior grounds.
This is certainly a better pitch than Cordoba anyway.
Abreu is their attacking sub left I think.
Is Abel Hernandez injured or not in the squad?
Laying some of the ground work for a possible joint bid for the 2030 World Cup with Uruguay I imagine, Santa Fe and La Plata are excellent modern grounds
Tevez has had a poor tournament from what I’ve seen of him. Careless and too direct with the ball. He doesn’t seem to have the same understanding with his strike partners that Aguero has.
Lugano has been imperious at the back tonight, hope I haven’t jinxed him now.
So it comes to this.
Been a thoroughly enjoyable game I must say.
Best game at the tournament so far I’d say. No surprise that happened when it went to elimination stages because the groups are just not decisive enough with the structure.
Best of luck to Argentina.
Gonna need it the way Muslera’s played. Great first penalty by Leo after some disgraceful delaying by the referee.
Great discipline from the referee to keep the left hand aloft for the strikes.
Roma against Lazio from the penalty spot there and Nico converted brilliantly.
Tevez has just missed. :o
Poor penalty from Tevez. Nice height and only a yard off centre.
I knew it. Awful unfocussed run up by Carlitos.
Tony Cascarino-esque stroke of luck for Pastore
Wonderful penalty from Gargano.
Martin Caceres, the whole of Uruguay is with you.
Yes!
