He has to drop back into midfield a lot because of their lack of creativity. Higuain has missed sitters in two Copa America Finals and a World Cup Final in the last two years. Iâd be expecting the guy people call the best in the world to put in a big performance in these close high stakes games in the knockout stages of the last last three major tournaments in the past three years. Castigating a lesser light in Higuian for Messiâs failing is delusional. If Messi was the player weâre made to believe then his side would not have been held blank in 360 minutes of finals in the past three years.
How many chances does Messi need?
He should be doing better in the finals yes, particularly the World Cup Final where he should have done better. The Copa America Finals I could forgive him a bit as there is always around three Chile lads around him every time he gets it and the other Argentina players should be able to take advantage of the space available in other areas.
