Cork GAA 2014

Nash beating 14 Clare men on the line will go down as a great sporting moment (greater if Cork had won the game)
Nash getting bate 5times in the replay will live even longer in the memory

Fuck off with you’re backtracking you cunt.

The goals weren’t his fault JBMS poor tactics left the defence too exposed. With better tactics Cork would have won.

But someone hijacked my account.Their gone now though!

Ah stop will you

Ah stop will you
At least i support my county through thick and thin. You only admitted that you were a Clare supporter after the all ireland win!

Shane O’Neill had a brilliant season but his positional sense was way off the radar on the day. For Conor McGraths goal all he achieved was blocking Nash’s view! For the last goal the cork backs let Honan work his way in from the sideline to near enough throw the ball over the line. It was downright poor defending by the defenders. JBM could have played a sweeper but they didn’t play one all year so why change for the replay? Clare had abandoned their sweeper by all Ireland final time.

Twas downright diabolical defending and decision making by individuals rather than JBM tactics cost cork the goals. The Clare forwards of course were superb but you would have expected the cork defenders to cope better

@Beautiful City, what was the last All Ireland any Cork side won where the opposition didn’t choke on the big day?

An apology from John Corcoran is in order but i would also demand an apology from the Carlow captain for his disgraceful allegations!

In Australian Rules, the mark point is where the free kick is taken from. The player can retreat then to improve his run up, maybe the GAA should look at this. I have no problem with any player taking a long run up, but i think the ball should be struck from the correct distance.
every penalty is probably struck from inside the 21 - its just Nash brings it to an extreme level.

Say the new rule comes in - I can see referees ordering penalties being retaken when a player strikes barely inside the 21. All fine you might say as it is a breach of the rule but it could end up generating serious controversy

and is there a rule that says the keeper\defenders must stay on the line until the ball is struck? will this be enforced as strongly as the rules for the penalty taker?

Nash has really opened a can of worms!

Who is doing the work down there. Great they have started to go there. A lot if Blackrocks best were going to CBC & PBC and Mahon where there is poor hurling and all soccer.

To try and day this has nothing to do with Nash is ridiculous. As you say and puke kinda suggested, let them run up as far as they want, but it gets hit before 20. Keeper and keeper only can move as soon as ball is lifted.

Good points re: lads belting it at keeper from play. @Gman has gone very soft here. What’s also funny is how weak counties think, instead of matching or bettering the skills they try to drag the other good teams back to them.

Three Cork teams in the Harty quarters. Midleton probably not one of them.

I really don’t know what you are laughing at @Gman, I’m deadly serious.

The last 2 in either code, hurling 05, football '10.

Down choked in '10, and shat themselves even further when Canty was brought on.

Galway shat themselves in the 2nd half in '05 after the goal.

Next.

Down played above themselves that day. Cork were just superior to Galway, nowhere near a choke.

You lot win one All Ireland in 25 years against Limerick. LIMERICK FFS!!! And you go on about the opposition choking. You couldn’t be making more of a spastic of yourself.

If Down had played above themselves they would have won.

Resorting to bringing Wexford into this and then calling me a spastic

I already said it was a throwaway remark and not to get bogged down in it. I thought you would have seen the wood from the trees when I said it. Plus the comment about how weak counties think. More Cork arrogance. Just found it humorous, particularly as I know you are serious!

while we’re at it, what was dumb about pulling BC up on his ninja edit saying Corcoran didnt say half enough?

Your inferiority complex is fantastic.
