Cork GAA 2016

Point out a few of the ā€œseveralā€ instances of it

Itā€™s not even emigration is the biggest drain. Itā€™s migration to Dublin which may as well be London if a fella hasnā€™t the motivation in the first place

This has gotten to be so much of an issue in Rugby the IRFU have introduced a scoring system for senior clubs so when they name their squad at start of season there is an upper ā€œpointsā€ limit attached to the squad. Players who have moved from another club have a high points loading and players who have come through own youth system have no points so they need to balance the amount of outsiders they bring in significantly. This isnā€™t relevant to GAA but is just an indicator of how much movement to Dublin there has been that this measure was needed

Go trapse over the 2-3 threads this has been running on.

I thought as much.

Why would you not want to do that?

I think Julio said it. I certainly said it, there was a 3rd one o canā€™t quite remember now.

You are trying to classically deflect.

Kev you need to find a good personal trainer for a bit of S&C mate, as your spelling is now atrocious due to your fat fucking fingers missing the letters on the keypad. FFS.

Hi @caoimhaoin

I have only browsed through this thread so excuse me if I am going over old shit. I was asked to get involved in an underage (U14) gaelic football team. I played the game but I have no great love for it I have to say I was not looking forward to it as I have no formal training and I work for myself so time is a major factor. Anyway in short I think I have got more out of it then the kids.
I have relations that play sport at a high enough level and I am convinced (even in life not to say sport) of the benefits of a proper S&C training. Is there a good introductory course an old fella like me could do? I am not particularly worried about which organization does it but if I was to do it I would like to do the most beneficial? Thanks

Does frankeen have a hand-picked successor? Someone like him would surely have a son or nephew in place to take over

I donā€™t get that?

A stooge.

anyone know what time the Cork bus is leaving from outside St.Patrickā€™s church in the morning to go to Longford?
If Gah and sean og now were going theyā€™d be looking for a steak dinner on the way home,
Peader Healy strikes me more of a fella who ll bring a bag of sandwiches for the lads, should be some sight , Frank up the front of the bus thinking heā€™s going to Thurles or Croke Park and the driver lost somewhere outside Mullingar,
Most people , especially Cork havent a clue where Longford isā€¦
There could be some craic tomorrow lads woth cork arriving only 20mins before throw in and Frank wanting the game put back an hour

We drew the Lonngford champions in the Leinster championship this year*, 5 hour bus journey from the bottom of Wexford.

If Cork have any sense they will travel the night before.

*We are great altogether

Nothing to do with sense, all to do with money.

thanks. Iā€™ll check it out.

loosing 1-4 to 3 points HT
sounds dire as per the c103 fm commentary
its blowing a gale here on the Kildare/Meath border region so i suspect conditions are blustery out the N4 also

Brian Oā€™Driscoll pushed Healy in the chest when he was subbed.
