I’d say costs have spiralled out of control with this. I spoke with a chap at the wknd who is working on this project, only subbed in mind but the money they are getting per hour is serious.
A couple of local contractors are laughing their way to the bank alright. No surprise there.
They have no independant consultation. Just give the jobs to the people we know and let them advise us. The EU will have a canary about this yet. Its rumoured some of the money is witheld and also that they went ahead with demolition and then further building despite being told not to.
I went down to have a look a few times. I think underwhelming is the word.
There seems to be very little progress being made.

Charleville and Hassig gone. Wide open now.
Big wins for Fermoy and Cloyne. Very impressive for Fermoy after having to play foitball last week to then playing a hurling club.
Winner of the Mallow v 'Line game will win it out imo
Carrig won’t win it.
Mallow are complete bottlers. Someone will catch them
John Gardiner after emigrating to the US according to C103.

Duhallow hammered Douglas. There was good odds on Duhallow also.
2-21 to 0-21 to Mallow
Just back from Charleville. Handy win for Newtown over Ballyhea. Two goals first half killed it really. Very disappointing. Poor crowd too. Times have changed obviously. Ballyhea Newtown championship game 15 years ago would have drawn in thousands.
How much did you pay in?
8 quid
Fuck, thats cheap. Paid same last week. But last year got asked for 15 for Junior hurling match and 20 for county semi finals in Pairc I Ring. Feel its one of many reasons people don’t go.
Club game is on its knees. No flow to it.
It’s a shame. I’m 11 years in Dublin so largely removed from it. Seemed like it was a much bigger deal locally back then. The structure of the championship seems to be unnecessarily complicated and it does drag on forever. Would be better maybe not to start it till August and play games every second week. Have flexibility to start in mid September and play every week on the off chance it becomes necessary again. Should surely be a group stage first round rather than this back door nonsense too.
Ah its a farce. Nothing major will happen till stadium is built
