Supposedly Eoghan Murphy and Jack O’Connor of Sars are involved with the hurlers.

The following are the odds for the hurling champ:

Douglas 4/1
St Finbarrs 20/1
Bandon 66/1
Midleton 9/2
UCC 20/1
Carrigtwohill 66/1
Glen Rovers 9/2
Kanturk 25/1
Ballyhea 80/1
Sarsfields 11/2
Ballymartle 33/1
Avondhu 80/1
Imokilly 13/2
CIT 33/1
Newcestown 100/1
Na Piarsiagh 14/1
Killeagh 40/1
Youghal 175/1
Erins Own 14/1
Bride Rovers 50/1
Carbery 200/1
Blackrock 14/1
Carrigdhoun 50/1
Muskerry 200/1
Newtownshandrum 16/1
Bishopstown 66/1
Duhallow 200/1

The ones in bold are good value imo, the ones italicised are best stayed away from.

I recently saw a number of results in Cork where a team called Shandrum was mentioned .

Is this Newtownshandrum ?

Its Newtown and Dromina joined together underage as Dromina don’t have enough numbers. Rumours that they would join at senior but hasn’t materialised yet. Dromina not far off getting relegated to junior although they have a couple of excellent minors.

They are junior. They won avondhu junior this year

My bad, was confusing them with Dripsey for some reason.

Easily confused alright, they’re only two opposite ends of a huge county ffs…

Did you see Blackrock play?

I believe they appealed it.

Obviously lost it i presume

Both are small clubs beginning with D, have seven letters in their name and are junior / glorified junior level. So yeah mate, easy enough to confuse.

Harty Cup QF Draw:

A. Árdscoil Rís v Gaelcholáiste Mhuire
B. St Colman’s Fermoy v CBC Cork
C. Our Lady’s Templemore v JTB Hospital
D. Thurles CBS v Midleton CBS

Semi-finals
A v B
C v D

Bad draw for Cork schools. Three on one side with the faves to win it out right, ASR. OK draw for Midleton as the two Tipp schools aren’t supposed to be as strong as years past.

2018 Corn Uí Mhuirí quarter-final draw
A. DLS Macroom v St Brendan’s
B. PS Chorca Dhuibhne v IS Killorglin
C. Hamilton HS Bandon v Coláiste Choilm Ballincollig
D. St Flannan’s v Tralee CBS

Semi-final draw
A v B
C v D

I believe 3 Coloiste Colm players were stolen by CBC on “Scholorships” to play hurling for them. Fair trial of them to lose that and still be competitive at A football.

Hammies improvement must be down to Rob Honohan one would imagine

CBC are offering hurling “scholarships” now?! - is it a fee paying school or how does this scholarship work?

Fee paying. Not huge money but hard to get in.
They have been doing that for years in rugby. Donnaxmcha O’Callaghan was one. He was in Bishopstown Community.

There was alot of hassle over it

They’ve been offering scholarships to hurlers for at least three years now. There is a Waterford Minor called Iarlaith Daly from Lismore even playing for them.

Well if he goes straight from playing to managing he’s in big trouble, arrogant even
