Glen will win by 5 or so points because Midleton have backbones made of jelly.

Then the Glen will get beaten a point a man by Kilmallock or Patrickswell or whoever the fuck it is they are playing next.

I’d be interesting to see, if Midleton did win, would Ben O’Connor be in the running for Kingston’s job next year - you’d imagine it’s Pat Ryan’s to lose.

Id put money on Furlong.

Munster club draw very lopsided this year. Cork or Limerick champs very average teams.

The Glen should win but their forwards outside of Kennefick and Horgan are very average.

They have a very average team in general outside of the Downeys, the Horgans, Brosnan and Kennefick, and Kennefick is a very hot and cold hurler. TBH what I’ve seen from Luke Horgan I’m not sure he is much beyond a decent senior club hurler. They had a few lads starting the last day that wouldn’t be much beyond intermediate level hurlers. They aren’t as good as they were a few years back, and they weren’t anything special back then either. Just goes to show a bit of intensity and belief goes a long way in Cork club hurling.

I wouldn’t

Luke Horgan was a great prospect till he had massive growth spurt and he lost all his pace. One of the Glen starting forwards wouldn’t make the Midleton bench. Downey Jr imo is a cut above the older brother and that halfback line should be the winning of the match. Midleton full of nice hurlers that have The Echo swooning but no good to the Cork senior side.

Have you changed your opinion on Joyce?

Kilmallock haven’t left The 41 yet ffs

Kilmallock played MLR in a challenge last evening. Wonder how they got on.

Couldn’t agree more

The Glen beat the well a few years back and did ok in the final . They have real tradition and can overachieve

Hes certainly no Brian Corcoran. Id give him credit for the 2nd half display v Tipp @U20 at 3 after the roasting he got in the 1st half at centreback. Ben O’Connor is a far better prospect imo if he ever plays hurling.

What exactly has Furlong done outside of the minors to be considered senior manager material?

As I said, they aren’t as good as they were back then.

They weren’t world beaters back them tbh
