kenny is hitting form. he was fantastic last day against antrim. i just think sean og has missed too much training and competitive matches to start. i thought he was poor against waterford. he has being a great servant to cork hurling but much like ben o connor father time has caught hold of him.
shane murphy has done absolutely nothing wrong since he has come into the team and should be starting. if shane o neill was moved to half back then cork would have a much better platform for sending better ball into full forward line and aisike in particular.
Yeah, I’d have huge sympathy for Shane Murphy alright, but it’s a tough decision on someone whatever he does. It’s hard to tell without knowing whether Seán Óg is flying or not. I hope he wouldn’t be afraid to make the change early if it looks necessary.
it just smacks of picking lads on reputation rather than form. if team was picked on form shane and paudie would be starting. as you say im not privy to whats going on in training but shane and paudie must be playing stink to be dropped after last match.
I think he’s right, this is for out and out imortality this year, if they were seen to bottle it at all it would tarnish their legacy. Along with the way they have ruined the game.
I thought there was a big performance in Cork but Ray Ryan? :o
Kilkenny are not the force of 2008 and I think Aisake might give Noel Hickey a few problems but you still can’t look past Kilkenny. I’ll go for 1-21 to 2-13.
Heard a lot of stuff that he was going to replace Shane O’Neill (surely Shane Murphy would be the obvious choice if O’Neill was out)and that Cian McCarthy would replace Cussen.
I haven’t heard anything about Ray Ryan starting, Shane Murphy will come in if Shane O’Neill is out. If both Shane and Sean Og are out then I’d guess it would be Egan ahead of Ryan. Cian Mac looks set to start alright.
How do lads see the minor match going…Galway gave a good account of themselves seeing off a decent Waterford side last time out and have 6 of last years A/I winning side while Kilkenny hammered Dublin in the Leinster final…Will give a tentative nod to the cats
Have heard that this years KK team is not great, compared to previous years. Will go for Galway. Should be a cracking game, great thing about minor hurling is that it doesn’t have the cynicism of senior.
Whatever happens today I hope Kilkenny look mortal anyway. Hopefully they’ll win it in a fashion that suggests the final won’t be a foregone conclusion. Any hope at all for Cork I wonder?

The only hope for them is if Brian Hogan and Kavanagh either fail to make the starting lineup, will mean Cody will have to throw someone in at the deep end and they might take a while to settle somewhat, be it Cummins, Paddy Murphy, PJ Delaney or Paddy Hogan…He would hardly throw Ryall in at Centre or Wing Back, he was finished at this level a few years ago, surprised to see he is still on the panel…
None WTB, Cork weren’t good enough two years ago and this current Cork team isn’t as good as that one so its hard to see where Cork can pull a victory from. Heard Denis Walsh on the radio last week, he said that Cork needed all 15 players to play up to their ability today, sounds obvious but since the Tipp game a max of ten have done this in any game according to him, if that happens today thats 5 positions lost straight away and even with a Cork player at his best that may be no match for his opponent. Unless Cork have a stormer today it could be absolute carnage.
