Cork will regroup, they have to be serious contenders this year, under O’Connor they must be the favourites I would say

BOC is a serious operator

Some beating for CSN.

A great boost for hurling in Tralee CBS Turenne and they are going for a double with the footballers in the A final

In the hurling Tralee CBS tried the Harty Cup in 2025 but it was a bit too much of a standard for them. went back to the B grade in 2026

There was a time when hurling was scarcely allowed in the school. The principal of the school is now from Kilmoyley a club with serious hurling tradition and hurling has been promoted in a huge way in the school in recent times, growing over the last 10 years.

The better hurlers from North Kerry used to attend Causeway school in rural North Kerry, many of them now go to Tralee CBS now instead - plus Tralee CBS have players from the new ( well 15 years now) hurling club in the the town Tralee Parnells.

Tralee Parnells won the minor hurling championship in Kerry in 2025, the star forward on that team was Eoghan Costello , also the main forward with Tralee CBS

Watch out for Mikey Corridan, a super dual player , hurling with Kilmoyley and football with Ardfert, he will be a kerry minor footballer this year, was centre back for the CBS hurlers and was outstanding in their win over Bishopstown

I wasn’t sure about him but the way he sent that Cork U20 team out to timber Offaly convinced me he’ll do whatever it takes to get Cork back to the top

Know it sounds harsh but on Leeside we expect winners nothing else

Great that we have a second unbelievably negative cork poster here to keep tureene company

Any other information about the U-20 squad?

Have plenty talent up front, Barry Flynn, Barry Walsh, Ronan Dooley in particular. Barry Flynn is a cert for Cork seniors in a year or 2 in my opinion. Imagine it could be a young squad. Deane and Garde involved.

Cheers. Would be surprised if Dooley starts. Will be interesting to see who is at 3. Suppose Ben Walsh will take 6.

I think Ben Walsh is injured. Saw Dooley play for UCC freshers, thought he was excellent. Bit light mind.

Its Cork to loose, they are stone useless if they can’t do it. Limerick and Clare are gone over the hill, Tipp were very lucky last year and not great at all.

I’d say Dooley will be off the bench. Barry Walsh, Johnny Murphy, Biggane, Mark O’Brien and O’Flynn will be the forwards plus one.
