Have to go to Cork tomorrow; need somewhere fairly central to eat at lunchtime.
Any recommendations?

Market lane in Oliver plunkett st is the finest for lunch
Cork is the food capital of Ireland, wherever you go will be unreal.
How central are you talking? Any part of the city in particular?
Market Lane, Liberty Grill, Spit Jackâs, Orso, Son of a Bun on MacCurtain street.
Between the bus station & train station, or in the environs.
State of these cunts
âA scarcely comprehensible act of thuggeryâ: Cork men jailed for violent robbery of 93-year-old pensioner
Canât seem to copy link off phone
Fuck all there really just go to McCurtain st loads of places. Itâs near train station
Thereâs a cafe right across from the train station thats decent and has unreal cakes. https://lab82.ie/
5 points cafe is more between both points and is supposed to be nice but not a huge menu i think. They have a sister cafe out next to PUC

Thereâs a good clatter of offerings the other end of MacCurtain street, 5 minutes walk max, including Son of a Bun. Isaacâs is halfway up MacCurtain street but might be a bit pricey for lunch.
Small beach across the bridge
Turn left
Decent pub aswell
Unfortunately one of the cunts is a kerryman originally
133 convictions between the vile scum
Scoozis is the only place Cork people eat in the city
Great shout
Go to skoozis Aristotle but be prepared to queue
And theyâd only hand him the out of towner menu anyway
Eddy Dunbar made a good start to giro, 14th on GC and well up with the big boys today.
See the ravenous thread
Beef salad. Serious grub I thought.
Went there a few years back, thought it was shite. Dry, overcooked barely edible burger. Desserts were ok iirc.
I just go to Quinlanâs whenever I go back, and possibly The Fishâs Wife if Iâm there all day. My wife doesnât want to spend much time in the city as it is a kip and she has always been happy with Quinlanâs when we went there and it is a good option for a couple of daytime pints.
As an aside, we went to Garryvoe Hotel for lunch when we were back 6 months ago - utter shite, and crazy over-priced. Dunno if it is nostalgia or the chocolate log that made me like it when I was younger.
Have to check this out at some stage. Kids friendly?
Not for v young kids really. Itâs v loud and tight if you had a buggy or somethingâŚbut Iâd say 5 up would prob be happy out. They give the kids crayons and stuff so they try anyway
Heard itâs good
