Typical of the GAA to fcuk over their sponsors. The Cork crowd will be the next ones complaining when they realise that thousands of them wonât get tickets either.
Not all paid up club members will get tickets. Just not enough to go around and demand will be big.
Agreed but a lot of good, genuine club people will still get fucked over too in fairness - let alone the bandwagon element.
I doubt one single good genuine, club person will get fucked over.
Agree. Fuck Cork.
+1. Iâve never heard of Joe Nash before but he comes across as an utter simpleton there. He canât speak, has a ridiculous accent and was giggling away at his own shit quips like a dickhead.
The Dunph loved Joe Nash
Every club is different but there can be big politics at play around who gets tickets within certain clubs.
Well then thatâs the clubs issue.
If a club doesnât look after the working members then itâs all equal.

Sure tis ackle
Normally Iâd be a believer in âthe genuine people always get sortedâ line of thinking but Iâm not so sure this time around, TS. This will be even worse than the 96 AI final which was probably the toughest match to ever get a ticket for.
For most clubs once the chairman, secretary, senior team manager etc get sorted (which is fully deserved) there wonât be many left to go around and lots of people will miss out.
There were 1,900 people at the crucial Limerick-Wexford NHL clash in March. Spare us the hyperbole, chaps.
Nash is an arsebiscuit of the highest order.
Well said, Walty
And most of those left straight after the hurling, ignoring the football match which was on after it.
Finbar sounds like a steamer.
Not all Cork supporters share this romanticism some of us have with the pairc!
Basically there is no way the place is H&S compliant. The tunnels are an absolute death trap. Iâve said it before and lâll say it again that it is only because of the fantastic behaviour of the fans that nobody is every injured. If there was an emergency exit down there during a match it would be a serious disaster.
Maybe the H&S people ( whoever they are) have finally called time and called it out as not compliant with H&S and hence the capacity drop.
I know of a business where an employee tripped on the stairs and complained to H&S officials who came in and instructed the Company that the steps were not of equal size. The Company had to get the stairs rebuilt before H&S would sign it off, I think you were talking about the guts of an inch in some places. I swear to God thatâs true.
Now there isnât a step in P Ui C thatâs even with the next one.
Mind you the Gaelic Grounds also has itâs issues.
The tunnel is no worse than the tunnel under the Mackay Stand in Limerick, which if anything is even narrower. I was at a championship match between Clare and Tipp in Limerick in 2009 on the city end terrace there and and the tunnel underneath the terrace is also as narrow as in the Pairc and had no lighting (natural or electric) and the crowd funnelled out after the match in complete darkness - now that was a recipe for disaster and bear in mind that this was the end that contained the âBulmers brigadeâ Tipp crowd in it as well. Yet we never about how bad Limerick is - and it is a kip as bad as the Pairc in my opinion. The terraces themselves in the Pairc are grand, and they installed additional crush barriers on them a few years ago. The seating in the covered and uncovered stands must be the most uncomfortable in the world but besides sore knees afterwards they present no danger to anyone.
Ah yes i remember his post on the matters regarding Limerick thread about him.Is Joe Nash actually from Limerick?Limerick people donât normally speak with a high pitched squeak.

I very much look forward to Pairc Ui Chaoimh being made into a decent stadium as Cork is my favourite city for a pre match atmosphere.
I also think everyone is a little sick of Thurles aswell.
However in the next week I think that it will dawn on many Cork supporters that they wonât get to see this , then there might be a little
more criticism of their own co board.
Also to those on their high horses saying that all genuine supporters will definitely get tickets through their clubs, come back to me in a weeks time and say the same cause its not what iâm hearing from club members.
Either way it will all be water under the bridge in a few weeks and both teams supporters will get trips to Croke park to watch their teams later on.
Where will the Limerick crowd be drinking before hand?
The last time I was there (the football in 09) we were in Larry Thompkins before and after.
