For those of us with the princely sum of âŹ5 on John McGrath itâs grand.
Superb half of hurling. Itâs great to be back.
Not a bit of intensity so far.
Itâs loose, but itâs a decent start to this yearsâ championship.
My h-t time notes
Tipp
Running thru middle at ease
Winning ariel ball.
Tipp more accurate
Tipp score with outside players, Cork largely with inside players
Tipps striking average enough
Tipp will be lucky to finish with 15
Cork
Changing direction well
Good movement up front
Weak thru middle defensively
Good work rate from from middle 8
Good puck out strategy
Cork tactics superior 1st half
Lehane the best player on field
Better than watching Monaghan and Fermanagh for sure
Two bad teams
Bit bloodless alright but better than watching puke hurling.
Cork should keep puck outs away from the two Mahers theyâll gobble them up all day
Red that would being a goal
The lack of pace Tipp have from 5-9 has been exposed a bit. Ronan Maher has looked slow as fuck.
Cadogan is going very well tbf to him.
Which they seem to be largely doing. Ronans pace exposed by Lehane.
Still Tipps experience and bench will mist likely win it for them. Corks young lads just donât have that 70 minute experience yet. I like the style of hurling though. Encouraging going forward.
MY half time analysis: Iâm putting even more on Galway to win the all Ireland
Nash is the best keeper in the country.
Super puck outsâŚand save from Callinan.
Fine game of hurling this.
Tipp have only converted 14 chances but have 15 points according to the RTE stats
All very open & loose which I feared would happen and Cork are thriving.
Serious issues at corner back for Tipp. OâKeeffe just isnât up to it.
Ronan Maher doesnât look right, heâs not the quickest to cover the ground but he looks stuck to it today.
Only real positives so far are Breen, Curran & Bubbles.
Tbf to Cork, they are hurling extremely well. They have speed & pace to burn & are causing the Tipp backline fierce trouble.
2 poor puck outs have resulted in scores for Tipp. Callanan hit him with that shot more so than Nash saving it, he did close down the angle well tbf.
Calling him the best keeper in the Country is wishful thinking even for a pleb like you.
Was there a hurley broken in that first half?
