I think leaving any of them clearly free would be madness. You split the 3 full-backs between 2 forwards, and if Nash goes short, you ensure that pressure is put on the clearance.
Clare had OâDonnell doing it all on his own, and Cahalane had all day to pick whatever pass he wanted.
Management teams were chalk and cheese.
He has a better delivery than Cahalane though, done right i think Cahalane can be got to. He was on the edge a few times against Clare, they just lacked the balls to adjust and push up
Psychologically it would have tested Cork had there been a mistake.
Whoâs reffing this game? â Waterford need to up the physical stakes here - Go out and take the head clean off the likes of Meade/Lehane in the first couple minutes and watch them shrivel.

The last time Waterford went out with that mentality in croke park was 2008 and it didnt go well. Would play right into cork hands to focus on spoiling and forget own game plan

Yes, they potentially could⌠If they produce a performance like they did this time last year theyâd beat Cork handy enough. Donât be confusing what goes on in the provincials/ early qualifiers with what goes on in the All Ireland series â Itâs the same mindset that led you to totally dismiss Tipp coming into the Galway game.

Waterford were here last year also and had two savage games - they know whatâs required and have been playing games while Cork have been gowling around outside KCs - If Derek letâs them off the leash they will destroy Cork.
