But he didnât and Tipp continue to show a certain lack of ruthlessness against seemingly inferior teams.
Cork and Clare now. They lose one, and i would say Clare next year wouldnât be as naive.
By the way its unfair to try and make a corner back out of Barry. He is not one.
What.odds now are tipp for Liam
Agreed. Barry isnât a corner back. he has been shafted a few times now like Brendan Maher. He started out wing back which was arguably his best position. He then was shunted back to full back which he mastered and which is a specialist position. Now he is being asked to play fucking corner back. You are upsetting the whole full back line by playing him there. You solve 2/3 of the problem by repositioning him to fullback ably assisted by Donagh Maher. You only have one puzzle to solve then with who to play in the other corner.
I donât think Tipp have much on the subs bench
2/1
Any news on bubbles
The Bubbleseese is grand mate.
Lump it on
Ya and you would think Michael Ryan of all Managers would understand. Id there a bit of stubborness with the Barrett situation?
If they go tge same again against Galway i think ot could be one of those night.mare days teams have had in recent years. Complete malfunction like Cork v. Tipp in 14.
Galway could in a very ignorant way embarrass Tipp back there. 5 or 6 goals would not surprise me.
Iâd be playing corner backs, Barry full and Gleeson back in goal. There was no indication the new back 4 was bedding in the last day, it was getting dodgier if anything
He played full back in the league final and against Cork and was very poor both days. Heâs not a corner back but I donât think putting him back to full back is going to just make him a really good player again instantly. He got out in front of O Donnell once the other day and he completely messed up the touch. He just seems to be completely out of form. Having said that Iâd still prefer him to Hamill full back but thatâs more on hope that heâll recover his form than anything else
True. I watched Sean O Brien when he was introduced from the 44th minute onwards in Barryâs place and he wasnât asked one single question. Instead you had Clare with Duggan and Kelly taking pot shots from out the field and blazing them wide. Hamill doesnât cut it. No pace, no positional since and was haunted that he didnât concede a soft goal in the second half which hit the side netting. The match ups with the Galway forwards might suit Tipp better as they wont be as pacy as O Donnell, McGrath and Co. But Tipps full back line against Clare got some protection from the dominant half back line lead by the Mahers. They wont have that protection the next day.
I would expect Brendan Maher to drop back a bit further and Dan McCormack to slot back a bit into midfield. Tipp will try and turn into a point scoring bonanza hoping the McGraths, Bubbles and Callinan can outscore the Cooneys, Whelan and Canning. Theres every chance they might.
Yeah the feeling is mutual. It doesnât help when your left Lieutenant Cahillâs form has dropped off a cliff and your right lieutenant is dropped for breach of discipline. And the man behind you directing affairs and telling you where to be is battling his own demons. Familiarity is everything in the full back line. Uncertainty is a killer. I think he is a better option than Hamill full stop who WILL make 2 or 3 errors in every game. Barry MIGHT make 1.
They never looked like losing the game, they were like Tipp under Eamon OâShea with the scoring bursts. They went 6 points up, conceded 2 goals, kicked on again to go 5 up, then 7 up in the 2nd half switched off completely hit 4-5 lazy wides and allowed Clare to get it back to a point, then kicked on again to lead by 6.
Not saying Clare didnât have chances but Tipp hit 0-28 and 13 wides, not exactly a team in disarray.
Full back line and GK are a worry but 2 weeks to work on that.
Galway still favourites and rightly so.
He also does a gell of alot of weightlifting. I wonder is iver weight or over trained. He has not stopped growing in last 2 odd years
Yes there is
Yeah he looks a bit top heavy alright
Waterford to beat cork
I heard thereâs a fair chance de burca will be cleared
I believe theres a fair chance he may not be cleared.
