I chuckled at his up for the match jibe

+1.

The local thought was that it was a mere formality. I tried to tell em but I suppose you couldn’t blame them for not taking on board the opinion of a Limerick man.

You truly know your hurling mate.

That goal was first class

Conor Gleeson is definitely gone for the final but I can’t see how they’ll give Aussie a suspension if Tuohy isn’t getting one, there’d be uproar.
Thought Kieren Bennett hurled well after a shakey start. Again Brick and Moran were outstanding especially in the first half. Horgan hadn’t enough support up front and when you disrupt Nash’s puck outs it upsets the game plan. Cork will be back again

Michael Duignan can go shit in his hat

Ozzie wasn’t even looking at Meade. He was freeing his own arm and it was completely accidental.

4-18 from negative defensive hurling…

It needs to be looked at in real time for context

What the fuck is Paul Flynn doing with his hands and pockets

Waterford’s hurling and sharpness has improved a ton since June 18th. That day they looked over-bulked up and cumbersome. But they were obviously building towards a day like today. They almost fell flat on their face against Kilkenny and had they lost that they would have looked terribly foolish. But they got through it and that changed their season.

They comfortably beat Wexford without being over-impressive but it was another increment upwards.

Cork play a lovely brand of fast, skilful hurling at their best and they’ve had a very good year off low expectations at the start of it, but their games against Tipperary and Clare were, in hindsight, not far off non-contact hurling and Waterford wore them down physically today. Cork will be serious contenders over the next few years though and long-term will dominate the game.

Galway’s to lose.

Cork will continue to win games in June when no one else cares

Cork will win lots of games in August and September in years to come.

Actually, maybe just August, as there will be no games in September.

Conor Gleeson hasn’t a hope of getting off. From the replays Horgan didn’t do much, Kingston gave Gleeson a duntbin the aftermath. Mistaken identity?

Derek McGrath hurled against Micheal Donohue in the minor AI in 1992. Galway also won on that occasion

Aussie is no Joe Canning

Non contact hurling is fine then… Their ‘system’ was annihilated today. No space anywhere and physically over powered.
