Cork v Waterford - All Ireland Hurling Semi-Final 2'17

Conor Gleeson will be suspended. Austin won’t be.

I would agree with that

Would it not have been easier to free his hand if he let go of the guard?

It’s a pity

Think his fingers were tangled up in it.

We’ll see if the GAA are serious about cracking down on it now

The straps look fastened @Nembo_Kid

Cahalane cost Cork that game. It was nip and tuck up to that, the extra man is especially damaging against Waterford the way they’d set up. Even more space left for them to exploit which they duly picked them off.

I don’t think it’ll be the cake walk that people expect in the final. It’s just so hard to play against this Waterford side. They played in the league quarter final and Waterford were eight or nine points up at one stage in that.

They’ll need to muzzle Derek McGrath before the final though. He’ll be in every paper, radio interview and tv show for the next month.

Great for hurling to have new winners anyway. Would like Galway to win but couldn’t begrudge the likes of Kevin Moran or Brick Walsh either.

He’s lucky his head was strapped onto his shoulders

That’s an awful bating for Cark in the finish.

Pretty much all the best individual displays today were Waterford ones.

Darragh Fives was superb all through.
Kevin Moran and Brick Walsh ween’t as prominent in the second half as they were in the first but both made outstanding contributions.
Austin Gleeson and particularly Jamie Barron stepped up and made game-winning contributions.
Noel Connors was quietly excellent.
Maurice Shanahan made a telling contribution when introduced.

Conor Lehane and Chris Joyce were Cork’s best players.
Mark Coleman had a much tougher day than up to now but he still turned in a classy performance, as did Darragh Fitzgibbon, who still has a huge amount of improvement left in him.

Damien Cahalane was a total disaster for Cork.

We’ve already been done twice this year over that helmet ‘rule’ its not definitive and seems to be applied ad hoc so I can’t see how they’ll turn around and suspend a player for an AIF especially when the same thing happened last week and nothing was done about it.
The incident today happened in front of linesman and referee and they dealt with it the same as what the linesman and referee did in the Wexford game

If that were any other team you’d have sympathy for rent. Not Cark tho as they are a shower of fucking cunts.

This. There is no interpretation involved. There is no difference between what Tuohy and Austin Gleeson did as far as the law is concerned.

Tuohy got off. So will Gleeson.

I would concur. It’s all down to the referees report.

There would literally be war if they suspend Aussie
Awful disappointing what Conor did and the game over

Bahaha the same thing? Tuohy wasn’t even looking he just lashed his hand back, ozzie was kneeling on top of a lad, put his fingers through the bars and ripped it. I hope he doesn’t get banned for the final but all the waterford cunts, including you, who were calling for tuohy to be banned are singing a different tune now.

Certainly aren’t, we’d be calling for consistency which is all anyone can ask

Isn’t that not what de burca did? And clipped a strap and not rip a helmet off a fella

Waterford posters were not calling for Tuohy to be suspended.

Galway posters now appear to be howling for Austin Gleeson to be suspended.
