Very unusual for a county to produce two lads to play for man united at the same time who were an extremely dominant side at one the time.

It will probably never happen again.

There was another Cork lad there at same time called Brian Carey but not sure he ever made an appearance for first team… He played a lot of lower league football subsequently

Back over the years Corkman Noel Cantwell was a successful Utd player who won a couple of league titles and captained them to an FA Cup.
