Cork weirdo/sicko thread

There should be municipal stadiums in Ireland in every province. Limerick should just have one stadium for rugby and GAA, though in the winter it would probably get ploughed up. Or have 1 big one, and a smaller one.

The GGA have too many stadiums to be honest . I am more concerned with white elephants rather than dinosaurs .

GGA need to channel resources in to increasing participation rather than bricks and concrete .

Are you still saying Tallaght is not a multi-sport venue?

Yeah - let the rugger crowd ruck and maul the thing into a mud bath for 8 months of the year and then it will be magically ready to hold a championship game come May/June

Art, stop misleading the forum.

You’ve stated Tallaght is not a multi-sport venue, can you admit you got that wrong please?

That would never work.

The Marketsfield is owned by LEDP. Open to anyone. Pitch was used almost exclusively for soccer initially and won pitch of the year for two years in a row. A carpet. Then they let in the rugby last winter, played loads of adult and school boy matches. Pitch was destroyed and the surface was rightly derided by all and sundry for the first couple of months of the LOI season.

As soon as the rugby football season ended and it was back to football only the pitch returned to its previous high standards.

its not; you cant play an adult game of hurling or football there, ergo its not

Deary me.

yes, deary you.

either its all in or its not a multi sport venue

It’s a multi-sport venue because multiple sports have been played there.

Using your logic, you can’t call it a multi-sports venue because baseball isn’t played there.

but baseball could conceivably be played there, adult gaa couldnt

nonsense analogy there. the fact that a supposed multi sports venue in Ireland couldn’t host a game of one of the most popular sports in Ireland makes it a joke and a nonsense to say its a multi sports municipal venue and its well you know it.

You’re at it.
