Coronavirus - Close the Airports

Yeah but when the hotels are charging small mortgages for a week away, the temptation will be to travel

I’d say the public enthusiasm for a bailout / stay vouchers to help our own hospitality will have been seriously dampened this week when people look at the prices being charged for family holidays. Now a lot of it is due to demand combined with a limited supply of family style accommodation, but some of the prices seem mad.

Some prices are off the walls alright but there is definitely still plenty of value on the market.

Wait the cunts out. You’ll find a bargain somewhere

September seems the play for a family break.

Here @mac @Gman @artfoley , we’ve been invited to a communion on the 30th July in Gorey. The Ashdown park in gorey is only €123 for the night with breakfast. Worth a twist?

I reckon “new normal” was said 10 times within first 5 minutes of the 9 o clock news. Rte scare drive is in 4th gear

Some Micks would prefer to head off to a diseased ridden shithole to save a few quid than head to the Costa Packet in Kerry. The same Mick will then whine about the economic impact of the lockdown.

Wouldn’t put you off it. Standard 4 star Celtic tiger hotel. Above average grub though.

Harsh kilkee is a lovely spot

Not the worst spot in the world (had my wedding there. But if you want to spring for a few more quid you could go for seafield

I can’t stand that Luke O’Neill with his whiny voice. He does be on McWilliams podcast too doing cameos as a sort of cool scientist who dumbs scientific matters down to language the dummies listening can understand.

Fuck it €200 notes for the Thursday and Friday. That’s good value

surely is right, I head to Spain for a wk every year, not that hard skip a year

Paddy is happy enough to see the hospitality sector shut for 4 months of the year. He’d also be happier if the businesses gave away discounts/freebies then when there is a bit of demand.

Harrowing stuff nurses gone even more up in my estimation.

But the kids might miss out on their education if they are out of school for a few days!
